Importance of getting a PCR test for children if they have symptoms of COVID-19
In winter, we can expect respiratory viruses such as flu, Respiratory syncytial virus, or RSV and COVID-19 to be more prevalent in children, especially as they mix around more in school.
Symptoms of these respiratory illnesses are often similar to each other and can be hard to tell apart, such as a high temperature and continuous coughing.
