We're proudly celebrating International Women’s Day by celebrating the incredible women in the NHS and male allies who take the time to learn, speak out for women’s rights and ensure women’s voices are heard.
Whether deliberate or unconscious, bias makes it difficult for women to move ahead. Knowing that bias exists isn’t enough, action is needed to level the playing field.
This year, the theme of the day is ‘Break the Bias’.
Imagine a gender equal world.
A world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination.
A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
A world where difference is valued and celebrated.
Together we can forge women's equality.
Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.
Three-quarters of all NHS staff, and 83 per cent of Trust staff are women.
We’re committed to supporting women throughout their career with us, with 70 per cent of leadership roles across the organisation currently occupied by women and the Trust Board is made up equally of both men and women.
Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Networks champion a variety of issues affecting women, including fertility and maternity concerns.
If you have a disability, sensory loss, impairment, or if English is not your first language, we can help you access information about our services.
It's important for us to know when we've provided a good service or if something needs to improve.
