Her Majesty The Queen's funeral on Monday 19 September
Over the weekend, His Majesty The King announced that The Queen’s funeral, taking place on Monday 19 September, will be a national Bank Holiday.
As we have a large number of patients booked in for treatment this day, we will be continuing to run clinical activity as normal on Monday, to avoid delaying their care.
We understand and respect the sensitivities presented by the recent sad news, and are in the process of contacting each patient directly to confirm whether or not they are able to attend.
We know that many patients and staff will want to watch Her Majesty The Queen’s funeral. Over the weekend, the Trust will be undertaking an already planned upgrade to our WiFi provision and additionally the internet bandwidth for the free NHS WiFi will be increased. This means that the funeral can be efficiently streamed on Monday.

Parking will also be free for all patients and staff on Monday 19 September.
