How our Acute Hospital Alliance is leading innovation

Earlier this year NHS England announced its new Provider Collaborative Innovators Scheme, which aims to accelerate providers working together for the benefit of patients.

We are part of The Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, and Wiltshire Acute Hospital Alliance (AHA) which was announced as the only collaborative from the South West to form the first wave of innovators.

The new scheme recognises the critical role that providers play in helping systems deliver better care.

Our Trust began working more closely with the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust and Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust in 2018, with this work gathering pace from 2020 onwards.

In the video below, the three Chief Executive of the Trusts talk about some of the work the AHA has done so far, and our ambitions for the future.
