Temporary changes to the Children's Emergency Department pathway

From Wednesday 24 May at 7.00am, all patients under the age of 18 needing urgent or emergency care will be treated in our Urgent Treatment Centre.

Exciting construction work on our new urgent and emergency care expansion means the Children’s Emergency Department will be temporarily based in our Urgent Treatment Centre.

Any walk-in patients should continue to access services as normal. Please arrive at the Urgent Treatment Centre entrance, and a clinical member of the team will direct you to the right place for your care.

All patients will be in the same waiting area, although patients will be seen in different areas of the Urgent Treatment Centre depending on the severity of their condition.

If you have any questions, please speak to a member of staff.
