British Medical Association (BMA) strike from Saturday 24 February to Wednesday 28 February

Our services will be disrupted due to industrial action by junior doctor members of the British Medical Association, between 7am on Saturday 24 February and 23.59pm on Wednesday 28 February.

This strike is expected to have a significant impact on the care we provide, occurring at a time when our services are already busy.

Members of the public are asked to use local health services wisely, although our urgent and emergency care services will remain open.

Please use NHS 111 online in the first instance if you are unsure what to do. 999 continues to be available to you in an emergency.

Some planned appointments will be cancelled as a result of the industrial action. While we aim to minimise this where possible, some on the day cancellations my be necessary. We will contact everyone affected directly and you should continue to attend the hospital if you do not hear from us.

This dispute is a matter between the Government and British Medical Association; however, we know that it addresses issues of real concern. We continue to hope that a resolution is reached soon.
