British Medical Association (BMA) strike from Thursday 27 June to Tuesday 2 July

Industrial action is being carried out by junior doctor members of the British Medical Association, between 7am on Thursday 27 June and 7am on Tuesday 2 July.

We will deliver as much safe patient care possible during this period.

Before, during and after the strike, we are asking the local public to use local health services wisely.

Our urgent and emergency care services will remain open, however in the first instance please use NHS 111 online if you are unsure what to do. You should continue to call 999 in an emergency.

To maintain safe patient care during the industrial action, it will be necessary to cancel some planned appointments, treatments, and procedures.  We will contact everyone affected directly and you should continue to attend hospital if you do not hear from us. Some on the day cancellations may be necessary, but we will aim to minimise these where possible.
