Figures in the recent Patient-Led Assessment of Care Environment across NHS services reveal the Trust ranks above the national average in many areas.
The Trust rated higher than average in seven out of eight categories within the assessment which puts patient views at the centre of the assessment process, using information gleaned directly from patient assessors to report how well a hospital is performing in non-clinical elements.
This included in the assessment of non-clinical services for disabled patients, which rated at 96% - among the top 25 Trusts in the country. The national average for these services in the survey was 85%.
Other areas ranking highly included the Trust’s dementia care, overall food offering and privacy, dignity and wellbeing support provided to patients.
The Trust remains committed to improving non-clinical services across all areas including those where we were ranked highly within the recent patient-led assessment. This includes improving the accessibility of our services, as well as the maintenance of our facilities.
