The Great Western Hopsitals NHS Foundation Trust ranked highest among all NHS Trusts in the South West for delivering flu vaccines to staff this winter.
Having delivered more than 4,700 vaccines to staff, students, volunteers, and colleagues at Serco, the Trust also ranked ninth nationally for both flu and Covid-19 vaccination among all NHS Trusts.
This was possible thanks to the hard work of teams across the Trust, including within Occupational Health and Wellbeing as well as our Peer and Bank vaccinators. The teams worked hard to reach collegues through drop-in clinics, bookable appointments, and walkabout sessions across our sites.
Debbie Denley, Occupational Health Manager and Lead Nurse for Staff Flu and Covid-19 vaccinations, said:
“We’re delighted to once again have ranked among the top ten of all NHS Trusts in protecting our staff against flu and Covid-19.
“This has only been possible thanks to a collaborative approach across our Trust throughout the last six months.
“Thank you to everyone who has come forward to protect both themselves and our patients against respiratory illness.
“Planning is already underway for the 2024/25 vaccination campaign.”
