Visitor car parks are managed through Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR).

When parking in the North and West car parks, patients and visitors can choose to pay at a pay machine using cash or card, or pay on exit of the car park using contactless payment.

When parking in the Brunel Treatment Centre (BTC), please pay for your ticket using the pay machines before exiting the car park.

The machines take cash or card, and payments made at the exit barrier can be made through a contactless payment.

Drop-off areas are available.

Swindon Intermediate Care Centre (SwICC)

There are a number of disabled parking spaces outside of SwICC but patients and visitors should use one of the visitor car parks.

Where the money from hospital parking goes

Income generated from parking fees is invested back into the maintenance of the car park including lighting, signage, security, and staffing.

The income is also used to fund improvements such as car park expansions and additional spaces. Remaining income is invested directly into patient services.

Without charging visitors and staff for bringing their vehicle on site, the cost of providing parking facilities would need to be funded directly from the Trust, diverting much needed funds away from patient services.
