To improve care for patients with non-acute spinal cord injuries, we have a passport for patients to use throughout their hospital treatment.

The passport allows patients to detail specialist and personal requirements related to their care.

Patients are invited to fill in the passport and take it to all hospital appointments.

Download the patient passport - a copy is also available to collect from the Patient Advice Liaison Service (PALS) office.

The Trust has a number staff trained to recognise Autonomic Dysreflexia, to deliver specialist bowel care, and prevention of pressure damage, along with improving general knowledge of care needs related to spinal cord injury.

If you have any questions or concerns whilst receiving care through the Trust, please raise this with the ward manager or matron in the first instance. Alternatively, please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service
