We have the facilities to diagnose and treat many types of cancer.
A wide range of services for both adults and young people includes:
- Specialist surgery
- Chemotherapy (drug therapy)
- Haemato-oncology (cancer of the blood)
- Palliative services
- Supportive care services
- Psychological services
Where highly specialised treatments are required, patients are referred to the appropriate specialist centre, which is usually a recognised centre of excellence for that particular type of cancer and its treatment.
Dove Ward
Dove Ward is our highly specialist ward where patients who require inpatient treatments, such as complex and lengthy chemotherapy, are cared for.
Cancer registration
If you are diagnosed with cancer or a condition that may lead to cancer, the NHS team looking after you will record information about you and the care you receive.
This applies to children and adults of all ages.
This information is shared with the National Disease Registration Service (NDRS).
