Gynaecology covers a wide range of different conditions and age groups, and each person's individual circumstances will be different.
Once referred by your GP, you will be invited to Women's Health Outpatients, where following consultation a management plan will be agreed with you.
Some gynaecological surgery is performed in our Day Services Unit, where it is possible to go home the same day.
We also perform many minor procedures in the outpatient setting (called 'ambulatory gynaecology').
If an overnight stay is required or more complex surgery undertaken, you will be admitted to Beech Ward.
One stop clinics
To help reduce anxiety and inconvenience of multiple hospital visits for our patients, we provide a one stop clinic for many conditions.
