There are different options for where and how to give birth and we will support you through every stage of the journey.
Your midwife will talk to you about the options available to you based on your individual needs and wishes.
Your midwife can also help you to create a plan of what you would like to happen during your labour and after birth. This gives us a chance to understand your feelings and priorities, and allows you to think about your options and discuss them more fully with your partner, friends or relatives.
You can change your mind about your wishes for labour and birth at any time.
Not all women have the labour or birth they planned or hoped for, for example you may need to be moved to the Delivery Suite for closer monitoring.
We promise to keep you informed, involved and support you in every way we can throughout your labour and birth.
If at any point in your care you have a concern, question or not not understand something, please do not hesitate to speak to your midwife or a member of staff.
