The Neurophysiology Department provides electro-diagnostic testing to aid the diagnosis and assessment of diseases of the nervous system - e.g. in epilepsy.

Services include:

  • Electroencephalogram (EEG)
    Recording of brain function by using 23 electrodes attached to a patient's head
  • Electromyography (EMG)
    Recording the function of muscles using electircal stimulation
  • Nerve conduction studies (NCS)
    Using electrical stimulation to see how the nerves work
