Amputee Class

This session is for the rehabilitation of amputees pre- and post-prosthetic.

You will focus on building up strength and function, allowing you to lead a more independent lifestyle.

What to expect

On the first session, you will meet the physiotherapist and go through a thorough assessment.

This will include questions around recent history, medical background, social needs and your goals.

If you were an inpatient at Great Western Hospital, the ward team will fill out a referral for the class on discharge.

Your GP can also refer you to outpatient rehabilitation to access the class.
