Your treatment
We will conduct a specialised assessment to determine your problems and goals, so we can provide a rehabilitation programme tailored to your needs.
As part of your treatment, you will be asked to follow an exercise and self-management programme at home, which will be specific to your needs and ability.
We will work with you to achieve your maximum level of function, independence and quality of life.
This may include managing associated problems that are related to living with longer-term neurological conditions.
We will ask you to take regular exercise at a level suitable for your own situation; it's important for your general good health, but also helps with your strength, flexibility, balance.
It also helps to manage fatigue, and prevent falls.
We are able to direct you to local services to support you to exercise, and to manage your general well-being.
We run a group for people who have been newly-diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, which aims to give you the information you need to help you manage your condition.
We also run a balance group.
We work in partnership with other health professionals and organisations, including social and leisure services, as well as agencies and charities, to ensure the best possible outcomes for you.
