The Swindon Renal Unit provides a local service to patients requiring renal replacement therapy (kidney dialysis).
The service offers haemodialysis, which is carried out on-site and/or in the patient's home (home haemodialysis); and peritoneal dialysis (CAPD), which is also carried out in the patient's own home.

The Swindon Renal Unit is a satellite of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust; staff are employed by that Trust but work in close collaboration with this Trust to provide a comprehensive service to patients.
